Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent's Designee, the Director develops, coordinates, assists in supervising programs, and completes evaluations for students with unique abilities as needed. The Director provides high-level leadership in the development, management, and operation of the Special Education Programming and Department. This includes establishing and maintaining core district-wide processes and procedures to ensure the flawless implementation, legal fidelity, and strict timeline compliance of all special education initiatives.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid Pupil Services Credential in School Psychology, and a minimum of 10 years of credentialed professional experience in a public school setting Valid California Administrative Credential (preferred) Master's Degree Ed.S., Ed.D., or Ph.D (preferred) Extensive leadership experience in special education and student services
