Our Ideal Candidate Will: •Meet one-on-one with students (and parents, if required/desired) to discuss post-secondary goals; assist teachers in creating individualized plans for students to reach their goal(s).  •Secondary contact for district CTE and vocational programs; coordinating workshops and/or seminars to help inform students and teachers of their post-secondary options and discuss specific skills required for post-secondary life (i.e., interviewing skills, filling out job or college applications, etc.).   •Monitor overall attendance, GPA, and expectations for graduation and report postsecondary data to school leadership annually. •Create timely hand-outs (or posters) for teachers and students regarding requirements for specific options for students. •Set goals for the number of college-bound students, track senior credit progression for timely graduation, and track graduates to verify post-secondary activities. •Obtain knowledge of the current UC A-G requirements and communicate with students and teachers. •Monitor and inform area of SAT and ACT testing sessions, including an accurate master SAT and ACT testing calendar, and provide students with resources for SAT and ACT preparation; facilitate SAT and ACT prep classes on-site when appropriate.

Requirements / Qualifications

BA/BS Degree California 30-day Substitute permit, or the ability to obtain one in a short space of time Intern Eligible or preliminary (PPS) credential preferred.
