Job Summary

Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting SELPA administration in the coordination of services and support to member LEAs in the El Dorado SELPA. The person in this position coordinates, plans, organizes, and oversees, assigns SELPA activities, including Speech and Language Services and the Medi-Cal Billing Program. This position also assists schools, districts, and charters in operating effective special education programs; provides expertise related to special education. Depending on work location and assignment, this position may require travel to different regions of the State, including trips that involve multiple overnight stays.

Requirements / Qualifications

This position is 100% funded with Medi-Cal revenue. Should this revenue source significantly decrease, and another funding source cannot be identified, the position may not be continued. Work Location: The work location for positions with the EDCOE Geographic SELPA Department, will be the El Dorado County Office of Education, Placerville. Required Qualifications: Education: Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential, Education Specialist Credential, or other CTC issued Credential required, and an Administrative Services Credential required. Master’s Degree is preferred from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in special education or closely related field. Experience: Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an educational setting in programs that may include special education or general education.
