Job Summary

Job Summary

The Human Resources Technician is a technical position that requires application of specialized knowledge in areas of human resources tasks such as, but not limited to, performing advanced technical work in human resources in support of credentials and other related services for NCOE and district personnel, receiving, reviewing and processing substitute applicants for countywide sub consortium, and advising human resources staff in school districts of emerging issues and trends. The Human Resources Technician communicates and maintains programs such as human resources information systems and personnel status transactions. Advancement to this position requires demonstrated ability to coordinate, interpret, and apply NCOE systems, processes, policies, procedures, and credentialing regulations while providing accurate guidance and support.

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a high school graduate; able to type with speed and accuracy; pass a Literacy and Excel test.

• The position requires specialized procedural knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures associated with human resources records and human resources information systems, position control and budgeting, recruitment practices, job classification, and related services provided in a human resources department.

• Requires well-developed skills in using a personal computer, common office productivity software, and specialized databases and record keeping software used in education.

• Requires well-developed written language skills to prepare reports for governing board agendas, and to document policies, and procedures.

• Requires sufficient math skills to compute sums, averages, ratios, products, quotients, and variances.
