Job Summary
School Counseling Interns work along side credentialed counselors to support the execution of a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the ASCA National Model, while also engaging with the the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education. This position presents opportunities to support both elementary school and middle school students. Additionally, Interns will work with both special education and general education programs. QUALIFICATIONS: Interns must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level school counseling program. First and foremost, interns must have an open mind and a desire to support the whole child. This is a highly collaborative position, so strong communication skills are also essential. Experience or interest in Public Waldorf Education is a plus, as this is a unique opportunity to blend counseling practices with art, story telling, nature, and hands-on learning. HOURS AND COMPENSATION: This is an unpaid position. Journey school is open to working with your schedule and the hours you need to complete your fieldwork requirements. An experienced school counselor with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) will sign off on your hours.
