Under the general supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, this classification is responsible for serving as an on-call substitute driver, transporting students to and from school and school-related activities as needed. Incumbents operate District vehicles safely and efficiently over designated routes and special trips, maintain student safety and welfare during transport, and provide transportation services during employee absences or periods of increased operational need.
