Job Summary
This position is at Confluence West High School located on the Del Oro High School campus. Confluence West High School teachers provide personalized, flexible instruction designed to meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of students who have struggled to find success in traditional comprehensive high school settings. Teachers foster a supportive and structured learning environment where students are encouraged to re-engage with their education, build confidence, and make meaningful progress toward graduation. Instruction emphasizes Learning Through Interests, mentorship, and project-based learning, allowing students to connect academic standards to real-world applications and personal passions. Confluence teachers build strong relationships with students, serving as mentors and advocates while helping them develop responsibility, resilience, and goal-setting skills. The role requires creativity, patience, and adaptability, as teachers design individualized learning experiences, collaborate closely with colleagues and community partners, and support students in overcoming barriers to academic success and post-secondary opportunities. The successful candidate will be required to complete DOJ clearance and pre-employment online training.
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants must have a valid CA Single Subject Teaching Credential preferrably in a Core Subject area, and be EL Authorized or be in a preparation program to acquire the credential at the time of closing. District will consider applicants with a Mulitiple Subject Teaching Credential. Applicants with Master's Degrees in subject area preferred.
