Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Activities supports the Director of Activities in planning, coordinating, and executing the full range of student activities and school events that build community and school spirit at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. Working closely with Associated Student Body (ASB) students, and class councils, the Assistant Director provides administrative, logistical, and creative support for dances, assemblies, fundraisers, and signature all-school and senior events throughout the year. Additionally, they oversee moderators, coaches and budgets for student clubs and other co-curricular programs on campus. This position requires a highly organized, collaborative professional who can manage multiple events simultaneously, work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and contribute to the school's Catholic mission and charism of Caritas Christi.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required. • Two or more years of experience in overseeing school teams and programs, event coordination, school activities, or a related field preferred. • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously. • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and digital design/presentation tools. • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and outside vendors. • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and after-school events as required. • A valid California driver's license and a clean driving record. • Supportive of and able to contribute to the Catholic mission and values of Santa Margarita Catholic High School. • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and experience using it appropriately as a tool in academic/school and event planning environments is a plus.
