Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) began providing services to students in 1852 and is located in the heart of California’s Central Valley near the banks of the San Joaquin River. SUSD is the 17th largest school district in California, whereby 38,000 PK-12th grade students come to us to experience an academic journey that leads to high school graduation and success in college, careers, and as actively-engaged community members. Requirements / Qualifications

To be considered for employment, applicants must complete the online application and submit the following: • Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or a valid California Teaching Credential* - If you do not currently hold a permit, the District can assist qualified applicants with the application process. • Current Resume • College Transcripts showing a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or higher - Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for the application process. - Official transcripts will be required upon hire. • TB Skin Test results or TB Risk Assessment completed within the past three (3) years. • Professional References - Provide at least two professional references and include a valid email address for each reference. • Work Experience Disclosure (AB 2534 / SB 848) - Provide a complete work history, including any experience working for a school district or LEA. **Applicants who do not currently hold a permit or credential must meet the requirements to obtain one.** PERMIT QUALIFICATIONS: Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit: • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit for Prospective Teachers: • At least 90 semester units completed from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. • Currently enrolled in a CA four-year college or university (verification letter required). • Passing CBEST scores or meeting the Basic Skills Requirement (BSR).
