Requirements / Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: * Minimum of High School diploma or G.E.D. with equivalent training and experience to sufficiently demonstrate the knowledge and perform the abilities listed above; * Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures to adequately complete necessary paperwork; * 3+ years experience in school food service required, preferably in a lead role. Required Licenses and/or Certificates: * A valid Food Safety or Food Protection Manager Certification accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) maintained throughout employment with the LEA. Examples of accredited food protection manager certifications include: * ServSafe Food Protection Manager; * State Food Safety Manager (FSM); * Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP); * Certified Professional – Food Safety (CP-FS); * Food Protection Manager (FPM) * To operate a vehicle in the performance of duties, operator must possess an appropriate valid California Driver’s License and maintain possession of such license during the course of employment; * Have an acceptable driving record; * Must be insurable at standard rates by the District's insurance carrier and maintain such insurability during the course of employment.

The Nutrition Services Assistant, Lead will guide the daily food service operations and distribution of meals from a regional distribution kitchen. Act as a substitute delivery driver in the case of absences and serve as a point of contact for nutrition services when the Director/Coordinator are unavailable. * Competency test will be administered to qualified applicants.
* Upon hire will need to provide supporting Education documentation (College units, AA or higher Degree, certificate copy) if required by position or claimed on application.
