General Responsibilities

The Naselle-Gray Rivers School District is a K-12 district located 30 miles east of the Pacific Ocean in southwest Washington serving about 300 students.

General Responsibilities:
Naselle-Grays River Valley School District is seeking a full-time Career and Technical Education teacher to provide engaging, hands-on instruction and help grow our secondary CTE program.

The district will consider candidates qualified or eligible for certification in one or more of the following areas:
  •  Agriculture
  • Fisheries or aquaculture
  • Forestry or natural resources
  • Small engines or power equipment
  • Welding or metal fabrication
  • Woodworking, carpentry, or construction
Candidates are not expected to be qualified in every area. The final assignment will be developed around the successful candidate’s certification, occupational experience, strengths, student interest, and district needs.

Assignment: Full-Time | 2026–27 School Year Start Date: August 24, 2026 

Salary: $56,038–$105,621, with potential additional paid CTE days

 

Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide engaging, hands-on, project-based instruction in courses aligned with the successful candidate’s certification, occupational experience, and strengths. Possible program areas may include agriculture, fisheries, aquaculture, forestry, natural resources, environmental studies, small engines, power equipment, welding, metal fabrication, woodworking, carpentry, and construction.
  2. Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction; maintain a safe, organized, and effective shop, laboratory, or classroom environment; teach the proper use of tools, equipment, and machinery; and assess student learning through projects, demonstrations, practical applications, and other appropriate methods.
  3. Develop and maintain approved CTE course frameworks, integrate employability and leadership skills into instruction, participate in the district’s CTE advisory process, and help connect students with local employers, apprenticeships, colleges, dual-credit opportunities, and other career pathways.
  4.  Maintain required safety records, equipment inventories, and program documentation; collaborate with staff and community partners; and help strengthen and expand the district’s secondary CTE program.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Hold, or be eligible to obtain, an appropriate Washington CTE Teacher Certificate. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. An Agriculture endorsement. 
  2. Appropriate CTE specialty V-codes.
  3. Eligibility for the Plan 2 Business and Industry Route.
  4. Eligibility for a district requested Conditional CTE Teacher Certificate.
