Job Title: Substitute VAPA Classification: Substitute / At-Will On-Call / As Needed Work Year: On-Call (varies by assignment) Department: Instructional Services / School Site Administration Job Summary: Essential Duties 1. Supervise groups of students in choral music, instrumental music, art and drama using lesson plans and methods developed by the District Visual and Performing Arts Coordinator. 2. Keep necessary records for the students with whom he/she is working. 3. Complete necessary forms and reports for students with whom he/she is working. 4. Work with the District Visual and Performing Arts Coordinator selecting and developing curriculum and evaluation tools to be used in the Performing Arts program. 5. Assist with the implementation of a complete Performing Arts education program in grades 1,2,3,4, 5 and 6. 6. Assist with the development and implementation of site and district Performing Arts programs. 7. Participate in on-site and district-wide staff development in Performing Arts. 8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
