Description: Rosary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic Long Term Substitute Teacher to teach courses in a high school setting. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with high school students and their families. Applicants should have the ability to participate in teamwork and shared decision-making, have excellent oral and written communicative skills and are proficient in technology. Experience teaching Religion and additional subjects preferred. Qualifications: Teacher must have minimally a Bachelor’s Degree in the subject they teach. Teacher must model all behaviors outlined in both the Faculty Handbook and the Employee Handbook for lay personnel of the Diocese of Orange. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Teach classes according to established curriculum, lesson plans, and diocesan guidelines. • Foster a faith-filled classroom. • Lead students in daily prayer and participate in school activities as assigned. • Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating Christian values, professionalism, and respect for all members of the school community. • Maintain classroom routines, expectations, and effective classroom management practices. • Deliver engaging instruction using a variety of teaching methods and instructional resources. • Monitor student progress and provide feedback on assignments, assessments, and class participation. • Maintain accurate attendance, grade records, and other required documentation. • Communicate appropriately with administration, faculty, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom matters. • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of instruction and support student success. • Follow all school policies, procedures, and diocesan safe environment requirements. • Support the mission, philosophy, and values of Catholic education. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principal
