Job Summary

Credential Information This position requires a valid, unexpired California Clear Pupil Personnel Services Credential with a specialization in School Psychology. Internship Pupil Personnel Services Credentials in School Psychology do not meet this requirement. Out-of-State Applicants: Individuals who have completed a post-baccalaureate professional preparation program in School Psychology outside of California may be considered if they can verify eligibility for the California Clear PPS Credential in School Psychology. Applicants must provide documentation demonstrating: • A bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university. • Completion of a post-baccalaureate professional preparation program in School Psychology consisting of at least 60 semester units, including a practicum and supervised field experience with school-age children. • Completion of a comparable program approved by the appropriate state agency in the state where the program was completed. Verification may be provided through one of the following: A copy of the comparable out-of-state credential; An original letter from the university verifying eligibility for the credential in that state; or An original letter from the university verifying that the program is state-approved for credential issuance. Applicants who qualify through an out-of-state program must work directly with Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) Credential Services to obtain the appropriate California credential. Applicants should not submit a direct application to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) without first consulting BCOE Credential Services.
