Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant (School Psychological Services) under the direction of the OSSS-Program Administrator of Student Wellness & Behavioral Health facilitates the development, implements and monitors the policies and procedures relating to the psychological services provided to all district schools. The Administrative Assistant provides direction and general supervision to the district’s psychological services personnel, participates in the recruitment and selection process for school psychologists and the assignment of school psychologists, interns, and other certificated and classified psychological services personnel, supports crisis response coordination. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant facilitates, trains, coaches, supervises and evaluates district and school staff through the psychological services/ programs development and implementation process and ensures work is carried out in compliance with district, state and federal guidelines. The Administrative Assistant will work collaboratively with OSSS and school site administrators, staff as well as with parents /guardians and community to ensure high quality psychoeducational, behavioral and mental health services are offered at all district schools. Eligibility Requirements: - A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a school psychologist - A valid California Pupil Personnel Services- School Psychologist Credential - A minimum of two (2) years of site or team leadership experience - A valid California Administrative Services Credential (or qualify for a Certificate of Eligibility) - A professional license (Licensed Psychologist, LEP, LMFT, LPCC) authorized by CA Board of Psychology or CA Board of Behavioral Sciences) is highly desirable.
