Are you a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who loves working with children and families? McKinley Elementary School is seeking a dedicated School Secretary (5.5 Hours/Day) to join our vibrant school community for the 198-day school year calendar. Reporting directly to the Principal, you will serve as the heartbeat of the McKinley front office—managing technical clerical work, welcoming families, supporting student enrollment, and ensuring our daily operations run smoothly. Work Schedule: Hours: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (5.5 paid hours per day, includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). Key Responsibilities: Administrative Support: Perform complex secretarial duties, compile technical reports, manage purchase orders/requisitions, and draft school bulletins and correspondence. Student Data & Enrollment: Welcome new families by handling student enrollments and maintaining accurate pupil records (attendance, health, transfers, and census data) on our school database. Front Office Coordination: Receive and screen all visitors and phone calls, monitor intra-school communications, and coordinate information for special school activities. Student Care: Administer basic first aid to students and determine when to seek emergency medical treatment. Position #389
