Special education instruction often incorporates related services to meet the educational needs of the child.

- Completed Edjoin Application - Cover Letter - Resume - 3 Letters of Recommendation - Copy of Valid CA Credential- (If Intern Credential Eligible, please include University or College documentation CLEARLY stating this information). New applicants to PVUSD may be eligible to participate in a District-funded Special Education Credential Program. Eligible applicants must meet program admission requirements, enroll in the District-selected fall cohort, accept a Special Education teaching position for the 2026–2027 school year, and commit to remaining with PVUSD for at least one year while completing all credential requirements. The District will pay program costs directly and reimburse approved expenses for books, supplies, and examinations. Participants who clear their credential by the end of the 2026–2027 school year may also qualify for the applicable bonus specified in the collective bargaining agreement. Participation is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

PVUSD offers the following incentives: -Outstanding benefits for full-time Certificated staff: Employees Only: $0 Employee +1: $56 per month Employee + 2 or more: $90 per month Dental (Delta): $0 Vision (VSP): $0 Insurance Plans: Kaiser, BlueShield PPO, BlueShield HMO, Anthem PPO, HSA (Health Savings Account) Signing Bonus for Special Education: The district will pay a $7,000 signing bonus to any new hire who fills a vacancy in Special Education in the 2026/27 academic year. * This supersedes and replaces the current $2,500 signing bonus. * One-half of the stipend will be paid at the end of the lst semester or equivalent days the employee is employed by PVUSD. * The second half of the stipend will be paid at the beginning of the second year if the teacher is employed with PVUSD. * The stipend will be pro-rated for late hires and by FTE. * Teachers hired on a STSP, PIP, or Waiver will be paid the full amount of the signing bonus at the beginning of their Internship year. * If a teacher earns their intern credential mid-year, the full stipend amount will be paid at the beginning of the subsequent year.
