Job Summary
Job Summary
Under direction of the Principal, the High School Teacher: Music will instruct in the Music subject area (core and elective courses) and provide related services to students. Candidates must have a strong desire to work with students to help them achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals. Position requires standards-based lesson plans and curriculum planning with a team; participation in site, and professional development meetings; developing and implementing lessons; keeping accurate records and grades; and, attendance at some after-school meetings/events.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: -Bachelor’s Degree Required. -Meets the State's Basic Skills Requirement established by the CCTC. -Worked or volunteered in an education-related field (e.g., tutor, substitute) for the equivalent of three years preferred. -Possess or qualify for an Single Subject credential with a Music authorization and one of the following: -Full English Learner Authorization (or CLAD Emphasis) - ELA1 -Single Subject Credential with revised ELA2 - ELAS -CLAD Certificate - SA12 -Bilingual Authorization - BA -Single Subject Credential in World Language: ELD content area - WLEL, WLEX Any combination of education and/or experience working in Adult Education related activities or an education setting is preferred; previous industry experience is desirable.
