Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the School Principal and/or Designee and with the direction/instruction of a Special Education Teacher, assists in the instruction, supervision, training, and personal care needs of an individual or group of students by performing a variety of instructional support activities.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience Education as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015: • High school diploma or equivalent AND • AA Degree OR completion of 48 college units OR passage of Paraeducator test administered by Chualar Union School District; • College level course work in child development, psychology and/or nursing preferred but not required. • Experience working with elementary school age children and/or those with special needs is desired.
