Job Summary

Position Summary: The Instructional Aide will serve as additional support for the Student Services Coordinator. The Instructional Aide will collaborate with teachers and specialists to assess and support students academically. The Instructional Aide will enforce safe behaviors and enhance social growth of all students.

Comments and Other Information

Knowledge and Skills: - Associate’s degree or 48 units of college required. - 2 years of experience working in a similar position preferred. - Bi-lingual/bi-literate English/Spanish preferred. - Knowledge of basic subjects taught in schools including arithmetic, reading, and writing. - Knowledge of general needs and behavior of children with disabilities. - Experience working with students. - Basic first aid principles. - Basic record-keeping and organization techniques. - Experience collaborating and working with a team. - Possess a valid California driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance. Position requires DMV clearance. - Pre-employment screenings include criminal background check, FBI/DOJ fingerprinting, TB test, drug screen, and previous employment verification.
