Regular School Year: Tuesday – Thursday | 1 hour and 15 minutes per day Intersession & Summer Programs: 30 additional non-school days (Schedules may vary) Position Overview We are seeking four dedicated, California-credentialed elementary teachers (one per school site) to lead high-dosage, intensive academic support groups for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will work directly with select groups of 1st–5th grade students who require targeted intervention in Math, Reading, or Writing based on academic data. The goal of this program is to bridge learning gaps, support daily classroom instruction, and boost overall district ELA and Math scores. Key Responsibilities Targeted Small-Group Instruction: Deliver high-dosage academic support to two distinct student groups per day: Grades 1–2 and Grades 3–5. Data-Driven Intervention: Focus instruction on Math, Reading, and Writing tailored to the specific needs of the students in your groups. Classroom Support: Assist students with daily homework to reinforce current classroom instruction. Curriculum Implementation: Utilize core district curriculum alongside premium supplemental resources (e.g., REWARDS, Everyday Math, Imagine Literacy/Math). Prep & Collaboration: Utilize 15 minutes of daily paid time for material preparation. Attend a pre-school year launch meeting with the Director, as well as periodic check-ins throughout the year to monitor program success. Group Sizes & Structure Daily Time Breakdown: 1 hour of direct student instruction (split between two groups) + 15 minutes of daily prep time. Group Size Limits: Minimum of 12 students and a strict maximum of 20 students per group to ensure high-quality, focused attention. Required Qualifications Valid State Elementary Teaching Credential. Strong background in data-driven instruction and elementary intervention strategies. Ability to commit to the full regular school year schedule plus the scheduled intersession/summer dates.
