Job Summary

Job Summary

The Director of Information Technology's primary responsibility is to plan, develop, organize, coordinate and manage the District's Local Area Network (LAN)/ Wide Area Network (WAN) and its Management Information Systems as it relates to the District's Strategic Plan. An interest in Educational Technology is preferred.

Requirements / Qualifications

Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California Driver's License. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required. 3 years of Computer Science/Information Systems experience at a managerial level. Three (3) CURRENT letters of recommendation, resume, letter of introduction-include relevant, practical experience in education in related field. All documents SHALL be included with your application in order to be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: • Supervisory and management techniques and procedures. • Demonstrated experience with Google Workspace (Cloud Identity), Microsoft Windows operating systems, and Device Management • Experience with student information systems and data collection and reporting processes. Ability to: • Supervise, direct and evaluate the work of others. • Maintain accurate and timely records. • Organize and schedule jobs in a timely manner; assess job priorities; order supplies properly and accurately. • Evaluate the condition of District cyber security and recommend actions as needed. • Monitor job progress; inspect completed jobs for quality of work. • Provide training to assigned staff. • Ability to maintain and balance a yearly budget. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED General direction is provided by the Chief Business Officer. Assignments include direct and indirect supervision of classified IT personnel.
