Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the MEUSD Coordinator of Community Schools, the Community Schools TOSA serves as a districtwide instructional leader who ensures equitable access to Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Wayfinder curriculum resources. The position provides ongoing peer-to-peer coaching, instructional support, and professional learning for teachers in both social-emotional learning and evidence-based teaching practices that increase student engagement, strengthen classroom instruction, and improve student achievement in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The position also develops and delivers parent education and capacity-building opportunities focused on social-emotional learning, family engagement, and strategies that empower families to support student success at home and school. This role leads the implementation and sustainability of the Wayfinder social-emotional learning system across all school sites. In addition to leading Wayfinder implementation, the TOSA collaborates with site and district leaders to collect, analyze, and monitor student and program data. The position facilitates data review meetings with district and school teams to identify trends, evaluate outcomes, and develop action plans that support continuous improvement. Through instructional coaching, capacity-building, and data-driven decision-making, the Community Schools TOSA strengthens teaching and learning, supports improved literacy and mathematics outcomes, and advances whole-child student success throughout the district. Grant-Funded Position Notice: This position is funded through the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) grant and is currently funded through the 2028–2029 school year. Continued employment beyond the grant period is contingent upon the availability of funding and District needs.
