About the Employer

The Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) is a public agency that provides academic services and enrichment opportunities for students, teachers and the community, as well as critical business services for school districts. NCOE partners with the five public school districts in Napa County on a variety of programs and issues. NCOE also operates numerous federal and state grants including a robust AmeriCorps program and state-wide projects supporting Special Education students.  NCOE's Early Childhood Services program is a leader in inclusive classroom structures.

Job Summary

Job Summary

The job of Program Planner is done for the purpose/s of coordinating the planning, design, development, and implementation of programs or projects; serving as a resource on issues and current trends; assisting fiscal budget team in the development of department budgets and monitoring grants; writing and overseeing grants; coordinating data collection from programs; managing local access for state data collection software; maintaining records, materials, and timelines pertaining to program services; developing and preparing a variety of written materials/tools; and supervising assigned personnel.

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in job-related area with an emphasis in social sciences, or related study

• Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required in state and other contracts, budgets, leadership, grant writing and monitoring, needs of special education students.

• Demonstrated technical expertise in supporting and administering a statewide technical assistance project, including tracking and managing day-to-day project.

• Experience collecting, tracking, monitoring, and reporting project data to support implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Experience developing brand-aligned communication materials, messaging templates, graphic designs, and other project-related resources

• Two (2) or more years of experience coordinating statewide technical assistance, training, or professional learning projects

• Two (2) or more years of experience developing and maintaining project timelines, monitoring deliverables, and supporting overall project management functions

• Two (2) or more years of experience coordinating and facilitating logistics for statewide training and professional learning events, including registration, communication,materials preparation, and participant support.

• Experience providing technical assistance and support to teachers, educators, and other stakeholders in accessing training materials, resources, and project-related tools.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
