Job Position: Part-Time Instructional Assistant (Non-Exempt) (18 hours weekly) Salary Range: $23 - $28 per hour Compensation Commensurate with Experience School Background An oasis of spiritual and educational excellence in Belmont, California, Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) School is a PK-8, coeducational learning institution. Job Description IHM School is seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic individual to serve as a part-time Instructional Assistant beginning in August for the 2026-27 school year. The part-time Instructional Assistant assists an elementary classroom teacher in instructing students, leading pre-planned activities for students, maintaining discipline, and providing other assistance in the implementation of the instructional program. The Instructional Assistant will report directly to the Principal. We seek an individual who is committed to supporting elementary students who are inquisitive and creative while assisting the elementary classroom teacher with a positive and team-oriented demeanor. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged students, basic classroom management skills, basic technology skills, and a keen aptitude for supporting students in the classroom. The ideal candidate must be able to reinforce and support classroom instruction to an individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment, assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans, and perform other duties as assigned by the principal and classroom teacher. The schedule can be flexible, but mornings are preferred Monday - Friday - 18 hours weekly.
