Job Summary

Paradise High School is looking for a caring, dependable, student-centered Special Education Instructional Aide to support our Resource Specialist Program teachers and help students succeed in both general education and special education settings. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with high school students, believes every student can grow, and understands the power of encouragement, patience, consistency, and connection. As part of the PHS RSP team, you will work alongside credentialed special education teachers to support students with IEPs in building academic skills, confidence, independence, and self-advocacy. You may assist students in classrooms, provide small-group or one-on-one academic support, help with accommodations, reinforce positive behavior supports, and support students as they access grade-level curriculum. We are looking for someone who is flexible, professional, compassionate, and ready to be part of a team that shows up for students every day. What You’ll Do Support students with disabilities in general education and special education settings. Assist RSP teachers with instructional support, classroom organization, student monitoring, and implementation of IEP accommodations. Provide small-group and individual academic assistance in areas such as reading, writing, math, organization, and assignment completion. Encourage student independence, confidence, and appropriate classroom participation. Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. Communicate professionally with teachers and staff while maintaining student confidentiality. We’re Looking for Someone Who Enjoys working with high school students.
