DEFINITION The position of CTE Teacher, under the supervision of the Principal and/or Assistant Principal, will plan, develop, organize and implement a comprehensive theater production program for beginning and advanced technical theater students covering the subjects of lighting, sound, set construction, projections, rigging and stage crew; organizes, supports and runs the technical operations for the site theatrical performances; responsible for training and assisting students, volunteers, teachers and outside clients/renters on the maintenance and use theater production equipment, systems and facilities; assist students in making career and vocational choices; perform other related functions as required. Candidates are required to hold submit a portfolio or proof of experience as it relates to the specific pathway identified in this recruitment. The CTE teacher for this position will be assigned to teach Instrumental Music Intermediate Band and Dance.

Additional Salary Information:
* Upon hiring, salary placement will be determined by the number of upper division/graduate level units earned from a WASC accredited four-year college or university. Units must be earned subsequent to the date of the Bachelor's degree.
* A maximum of fifteen (15) years credit is allowed for teaching experience in a public school (K-12) or an accredited private school (K-12).
* There is a $2,000.00 Doctoral stipend.
