QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous coaching experience in the field of Cheer in the high school level or above preferred.
• Ability to successfully manage a Cheer program within the established philosophy of the school administration and the district.
• Knowledge and experience in regard to Cheer coaching technique and evidence of the ability to convey effectively those techniques to the young student athletes.
• The ability to demonstrate leadership for a successful Cheer program and provide a positive environment that will build school spirit and pride.
• Possess and will provide a valid First Aid/CPR certificate from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS Concussion in Sports through http://www.nfhslearn.com.
• Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest through http://www.nfhslearn.com.
• Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS Heat Illness Prevention through http://www.nfhslearn.com.
• Possess and will provide a valid completion certificate of NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching through http://www.nfhslearn.com.
• Possess and will provide a copy of a current Mantoux, PPD or TST Tuberculosis test results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as a liaison between the school and the community to promote a positive image for the Pep Squad Program.
• Organize and schedule tryouts, practices and attend all games (only the ones the Cheer Squad will be attending).
• Assess skills and assign team positions
• Create, clean and/or teach routines
• Assist with the organization of summer camps(s) and off-season programs such as preparing for pep rallies on school site, and fundraisers commitments.
• Start Date: 08/18/2026
