Job Summary
Dos Palos High School is seeking a Criminal Justice Instructor to lead a Public Safety pathway aligned to California CTE standards. The course prepares students for careers in law enforcement and related fields through real-world, project-based learning and strong college and career readiness integration. Under the direction of the Principal or designee, plan, develop, and deliver a comprehensive instructional program for students in grades 9 through 12. This includes designing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, implementing effective teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs, assessing and monitoring student progress, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth. In addition, collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance student learning and well-being, participate in professional development activities, and contribute to the overall school community. Provide supervision of students in various settings and assist in the implementation of other school programs, events, and duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A valid CTE or designated subjects teaching credential or eligibility to obtain one. 3–6 years of field experience in law enforcement or a related criminal justice field. OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certification or an instructor certification course (e.g., POST AICC). First Aid & CPR Certification TB Clearance Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance upon hire.
