Requirements / Qualifications

BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS: Under general supervision, assist in the direction, planning, organization and evaluation of programs, activities and personnel of the District's facilities, maintenance, custodial and ground services; responsible for all facilities and building systems and maintaining the operation of the physical plant; serves as a liaison between the district, community-based organizations and the school site in developing and administering maintenance/facilities and special program budgets; serves as key member of the administrative team; supervises, trains and evaluates custodial, maintenance, grounds and related staff; performs other essential job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned. The primary focus of this position is to ensure a safe, secure, equipped, functional, and clean school facility in a fiscally-sound and compliant manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Completion of 12th grade, or GED equivalence, required. Some college and/or trade school highly desirable. •Three years increasingly responsible experience in related maintenance and operations/facilities areas performing duties similarly related to the position; at least two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
