Under the supervision of both the site principal and the Wildcats on Stage Director, the Assistant Director supports the Stanley Middle School theater productions. This collaborative, part-time role is integral to the success of the theater program, ensuring all aspects of the production are well-coordinated and executed. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and guide energetic middle school students in creating a memorable, theatrical experience, while fostering a positive and caring environment for all participants.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION: High school diploma or the equivalent. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the Assistant Director is required to stand, walk, and move around a rehearsal and performance space. The Assistant Director must have the patience and demeanor to work effectively with a large number of middle school students. The Assistant Director must be able to attend all rehearsals and performances. EXPERIENCE: Experience in theater production, particularly in choreography or directing. Comfortable with leading a large number of students while maintaining a positive and caring attitude. Previous experience working with middle school students in a drama or theater setting is preferred. Familiarity with musical theater production processes is preferred.
