ISSAC is a TK-8 independent charter school, which emphasizes STREAM, Mandarin/Chinese, Japanese and Spanish, Project-Based Learning, and a Social-Emotional Learning Framework (SELF). We aim to provide educational programming ensuring student progress and advancement with student-directed, differentiated instruction, and project-based opportunities for collaboration and experiential learning. We seek instructional aides who are convinced of the unlimited potential of each student, and committed to empowering each student to build a contributive, happy life. Essential Duties: Provides direct instruction in academic areas on a one-to-one, small group, or whole group basis. Provides student-directed independent practice activities as part of the lesson plan and classroom structure. Provides a positive learning environment that stimulates student learning and maintenance of skills. Supports the policies and programs of ISSAC Org and perform in accord with all of the educational laws

Requirements / Qualifications

While teaching assistants and administrative clerks are not required to hold credentials, ISSAC also will ensure that all Teaching Assistants possess an AA degree or two years of college with a minimum of 60 semester units. They will be expected to demonstrate subject knowledge and the ability to work well with students, as well as the ability to carry out the roles and responsibilities as stated in their specific job description.
