Job Summary
The job of Cook is done for the purpose/s of preparing, cooking, baking, portioning, serving, storing, and distributing food items for The Academy’s food services program. This position prepares meals in accordance with approved menus, standardized recipes, production timelines, nutrition requirements, food safety standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Cook supports the safe and efficient operation of the kitchen by maintaining sanitary work areas and equipment, assisting with inventory and ordering, preparing food for service and transport, and supporting food service staff as needed.

This position is expected to begin for the 2026/2027 school year and is scheduled for 8 hours per day. The anticipated first day of work is August 3, 2026. This is an Academy-wide position.

As a condition of employment, all candidates selected for employment must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings and clearances, which may include, but are not limited to:
Criminal background clearance through fingerprint submission and review as required by California law;

Tuberculosis (TB) clearance as required by applicable California laws and regulations; and
Any additional certifications, licenses, examinations, or clearances required for the position.
