Job Summary
Job Summary
An Assistant Coach helps lead the team they are coaching, promote student-athlete growth and sportsmanship, and ensure compliance with District, league, CIF, and applicable state requirements. This position serves in a support coaching capacity and is distinguished from a Head Coach or Varsity Head Coach by its limited responsibility for parent and community communications. Incumbents are not responsible for addressing, investigating, or resolving parent concerns, complaints, or grievances related to the athletic program.
Requirements / Qualifications
CPR and First Aid certification Concussion certification/training Sudden Cardiac Arrest training Heat illness prevention training Fundamentals of Coaching or equivalent approved training TB clearance Fingerprint/background clearance Any other certifications, trainings, or clearances required by law, CIF, or District policy
