Job Summary
Brawley Union High School District is seeking a Part-Time Career Technical Education (CTE) Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position provides instruction in the Music Industry pathway, including Music Industry, Music Industry 2, Rock Band, and Advanced Rock Band courses. The program emphasizes music production, audio engineering, sound editing, composition, live performance, and music technology through project-based learning. Daily schedule includes: Prep Period: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Tutorial Class: 10:01 a.m. – 10:43 a.m., Teaching Periods: 10:50 a.m. – 12:32 p.m. (3rd/4th periods alternating on odd/even days), 1:12 p.m. – 3:01 p.m. (5th/6th periods alternating on odd/even days)
Requirements / Qualifications
Hold or Qualify for CA Career Technical Education Credential in Arts, Media and Entertainment (AME) and English Learner Authorization based upon the following requirements: - Minimum 3 years experience or a combination of education, training and experience in Music with at least 1 year experience in the Music Arts, Media, Entertainment industry in the last 10 years. - Commit to completion of a 2 year online CTE credential program within the first 2 years of employment. - Employment Contingent Upon Clearance of Fingerprinting and Drug Testing
