Job Summary

The Elementary Art Specialist provides engaging, developmentally appropriate visual arts instruction to students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Grade 5. The instructor fosters creativity, artistic expression, critical thinking, and appreciation for diverse artistic traditions while supporting the school's educational mission and values. The Art Specialist collaborates with classroom teachers and school staff to integrate art across the curriculum and create meaningful learning experiences for all students. The Art Specialist will also develop art experiences to support fundraisers and program-wide theme days.

Requirements / Qualifications

Schedule and Salary • 8 hours/week (4 hours a day / 2 days per week) • Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $36.00, depends on experience, degree and professional growth. There are no benefits for this part-time position. Minimum Requirements • Offer of employment contingent upon successful screening of fingerprints and passing a Tuberculosis Questionnaire or a ‘negative reading’ of a skin test or chest x-ray. Desired Qualifications and Skills • Experience working with elementary students teaching art. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environment. • Patience, creativity, and adaptability.
