The Assistant Coach is split between two people. The Assistant Ballet Folklórico Coach supports the Head Coach in developing and maintaining a positive, culturally enriching, and student-centered dance program. Responsibilities include assisting with choreography, teaching dance techniques and routines, supervising practices and performances, promoting student participation and teamwork, and ensuring a safe learning environment. The Assistant Coach will help coordinate performances, assist with costumes and event preparation, maintain communication with students and families, and support the academic and behavioral expectations of participating students. The coach must model professionalism, cultural appreciation, and positive leadership while adhering to all district, school, and activity program policies. Qualifications: Knowledge of Ballet Folklórico dance styles, traditions, and performance practices. Experience working with high school-aged students preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and community members. Must meet all district coaching and supervision requirements. Reports To: Head Ballet Folklórico Coach and Site Administrator.
