Job Summary

Job Summary

Special Education Instructional Aides support students with learning, behavioral, and personal care needs. Duties may include assisting with instruction, providing one-on-one support, helping with toileting and hygiene, monitoring health or nutritional needs.

Requirements / Qualifications

Resume EdJoin Application Letters of Recommendation Completion of an Associate of Arts Degree; Or 48 units of course work at college level; Or High School Diploma and the successful completion of a comprehensive exam that assesses the ability to meet NCLB requirements. Candidates who do not meet the 48 unit requirements are required to take the Paraprofessional test that satisfies Ed Code 45361.5 requires that all Instructional Assistants demonstrate proficiency in basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.

  • Copy of Transcript (minimum of 48 units or proof of Paraprofessional test may be uploaded in place of transcript)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 or more)
  • Resume
