Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Graduation from High School or equivalent required. • Supplemental coursework in related field and at least one year of experience working with students in an organized school setting. OR • Any combination of education, training, and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties may be substituted for the required experience and/or education. • Current CPR Certification required. • Current First Aid Certification required. • A certificate showing that within the last 60 days the person has submitted to a tuberculosis risk assessment and if tuberculosis risk factors were identified, has been examined by a physician, nurse practitioner, or local health department and has been found to be free of infectious tuberculosis • Candidates selected for employment are required to be fingerprinted and cleared by the CA Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations through the Lewis Center (LCER) DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Completion of SB1626 school security training preferred. • Spanish speaking preferred.
