Job Description: Middle School Math & Science Teacher Title: Middle School Math & Science Teacher Supervisor: Secondary Principal Classification: Exempt Description: A Middle School Math & Science Teacher is responsible for passionately providing instruction in the field of mathematics, advanced mathematics, promoting student progress, differentiated instruction, parent communication, and promoting and managing a safe, positive classroom environment. Spiritual Qualifications: Demonstrates a passion for Christ and his Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry. Seeks to grow in that relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability and service to his Kingdom. Implements biblical integration into daily lessons. Professional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in math- or science-related field of study from an accredited university or college required Master’s degree and/or California K-8 Teaching Credential desirable Ability to effectively teach multiple levels of mathematics and science Command of subject matter and ability to wisely engage students as demonstrated through quality experience desirable Ability to comply with both written and oral instructions Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills Proficiency in demonstrating effective organizational skills Self-motivated Desire to serve in co-curricular activities, such as athletics or arts, welcomed Obtain a certificate of negative result for TB screening before hire Cleared live scan background check Areas of Expected Proficiencies: Passionately and effectively teach courses in the field of middle school mathematics and sciences Maintain classroom management that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school, state and all applicable laws and regulations Effectively engage students, caring for them through relational ministry while simultaneo
