OUHSD is seeking a qualified Long-Term Substitute Teacher for the first semester of the 2026/2027 school year. This temporary position is anticipated to begin in August 2026 and continue through March 2027. The selected candidate will provide high-quality instruction, maintain a positive and engaging learning environment, support student achievement, and collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of instruction. Responsibilities include lesson delivery, classroom management, assessing student progress, maintaining student records and grades, and communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Candidates must possess or be eligible for an appropriate California teaching credential or intern credential in one of the following areas: Education Specialist: Moderate/Severe Disabilities Education Specialist: Mild/Moderate Support Needs English Physical Education The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, effective classroom management skills, and a commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.
