Inspired by Gospel values, we serve the children of our parish and neighboring communities, working in partnership with our school families to create a positive and safe learning environment where students develop their skills as loving Christians, innovative learners, giving citizens, humble individuals, and thoughtful communicators. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a 4-year undergraduate degree, advanced degree desired Valid California multiple-subject credential preferred Experience and passion for teaching elementary school-age students Desire to embrace the Catholic ethos of the school and promote the Catholic spiritual development of students Ability to lead vocal music and provide accompaniment (piano/guitar skills strongly preferred). Knowledge of Catholic liturgical music and traditions is often requested. Strong classroom management skills Completion of required diocese-specific safe environment training (e.g., VIRTUS) and fingerprinting/background checks is mandatory. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Sense of humor and willingness to be flexible and supportive of the overall school program COMPENSATION: $25-$28/hour
