Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Chief Business Official (CBO) is responsible for the administration and oversight of the District's business, financial, and operational functions. The CBO serves as a key member of the District Leadership team and is the administrator for all fiscal and business services, including budgeting, accounting, payroll, purchasing, investments, risk management, bond programs, and long-range financial planning. The CBO provides direct supervision and leadership to Business Office staff and is responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and compliant operation of all business services. As a key advisor to the Superintendent, the CBO assists in the planning, coordination, and oversight of facilities and construction projects, maintenance and operations, transportation, food services, collective bargaining, strategic planning, and other operational initiatives that support the District's educational mission. The CBO works collaboratively with District and site administrators to ensure that financial resources are aligned with District priorities and student needs.
