Job Summary

Job Summary

An Early Childhood Special Education classroom teacher is responsible for administering special education testing, evaluating special-needs students, determining skill levels, and functional capabilities; modifying lessons and revising the standard curriculum and or alternative curriculum to match the child's functional capacity with appropriate accommodations and modifications. Experience co-teaching with assigned instructional support for the purpose of supporting inclusive practices is preferred. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: writing assessments reports, conducting transition meetings as well as writing and implementing individualized educational plans.
