The ELA/Social Studies teacher will integrate English Language Arts and History into a cohesive curriculum that promotes literacy and critical thinking skills while exploring literary, historical and cultural contexts. The ELA/Social Studies teacher will be expected to prioritize the writing process, critical analysis of literary and historical texts, development of students' written and oral presentation skills, as well as providing extended opportunities for English learners to excel in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English. Effective classroom organization, lesson planning, classroom management, teacher collaboration, and using data to inform instruction are requirements for this position.
