Job Summary
Job Summary
The job of Early Childhood Education Assistant II is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for assisting one or more teachers in the direct care and supervision of the preschool-aged children, infants and toddlers in a child care facility; organizing and directing play-oriented learning activities; preparing and serving snacks; and assisting in maintaining a clean and safe environment for children. This job is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: The ECE Assistant II provides activity and hygiene assistance to early childhood classrooms that operate under the Early Headstart Program. This job reports to Director of Early Education
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicant is required to have an Associate Teacher Permit from Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requiring 12 or more college semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, 3 of which must be infant/toddler.
