Under the direction of the Director of the Conservatory and the Dean of Arts, Conservatory Teachers plan, develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive educational program for students in the skills of their specified art discipline, create a supportive and flexible learning environment to nurture each student’s personal growth, and collaborate with colleagues to reflect on and refine instructional practice. Open teaching positions: FASHION MARKETING & MERCHANDISING High School (11th & 12th grade) Tuesdays , block 8 & 9 - SPRING Fashion Merchandising and Marketing is designed to bridge the gap between the creative world of fashion design and the business-driven world of retail. The course introduces students to the field of fashion promotion and provides foundational fashion concepts related to economics, textiles, and design—all critical aspects of the industry. Students will study technological advances in manufacturing, mass customization, niche specialization, and inventory planning, management, and execution. Students will also study retail trends such as omnichannel retailing and showrooming. SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT MARKETING High School (11th & 12th grade) Thursdays, block 8 & 9 - FALL Turn your passion for sports and pop culture into a professional skill set. This course dives deep into the strategies that power famous athletes, celebrities, and global brands. You’ll join a marketing team to analyze the psychology of Super Bowl ads, navigate the economics of the entertainment world, and build a "real-world" portfolio. Whether you’re planning an award-show nomination campaign or a viral product launch, you’ll apply core industry skills to these scenarios.
