Under the direction of the Director of the Conservatory and the Dean of Arts, Conservatory Teachers plan, develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive educational program for students in the skills of their specified art discipline, create a supportive and flexible learning environment to nurture each student’s personal growth, and collaborate with colleagues to reflect on and refine instructional practice. Open teaching positions: PUBLIC SPEAKING & COMMUNICATIONS II High School (9th grade) M/W Block 8 – FALL & SPRING This skills-based course continues to explore and apply the basic principles of effective communication. Students will strengthen confidence, build creativity, and positive self-awareness while developing essential skills of public speaking. Students will apply these skills in various presentations collaboratively and individually throughout the semester in areas of persuasion, storytelling, demonstration, improvisation, and entertainment. PUBLIC SPEAKING & COMMUNICATIONS High School (majority 10th grade) Thursday, block 8 & 9 - FALL & SPRING (a semester long class) This skills-based course continues to explore and apply the basic principles of effective communication. Students will strengthen confidence, build creativity, and positive self-awareness while developing essential skills of public speaking. Students will apply these skills in various presentations collaboratively and individually throughout the semester in areas of persuasion, storytelling, demonstration, improvisation, and entertainment.
