Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned manager, performs a variety of responsible clerical duties involving data entry, filing and maintaining records or reports in support of a district function or manager. The job of Clerical Assistant - is done for the purpose/s of providing requested clerical support for office communicating information regarding various activities and/or responding to requests; and providing for timely and accurate distribution of materials.

Substitute Clerical Assistant Responsibilities: The job of a substitute clerical assistant is not limited to: • Use and maintain office machines. • Directs phone calls to the appropriate departments. • Responds to public, parent and student inquiries for the purpose of providing information. • Keep a variety of student records and generate reports. • Supports all site departments and principal; composes correspondence for agendas, bulletins, etc. • Processes daily mail for all departments, absence requests, timecards, payroll related documents. • Works closely with DO with the purpose of securing teacher coverage/substitutes. Minimum Qualifications: • Knowledge of rules and regulations related to assigned functions, basic record keeping and standard office procedures. • Skills to operate standard office equipment and basic computer programs. Use of written communication, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, work independently, understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
