Job Summary

Job Summary

Provides an educational program for preschool students ages 0 to 3 in a classroom environment; works with the students and with the primary care giver of the child, following state and federal standards, and social service licensing requirements, under the supervision of the Director of Head Start Child Development Director; and performs other related work as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

BA/BS in the following: Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development or related field. Possess 6 units of infant/toddler coursework. At the time of employment if candidate does not have the 6 units of infant/toddler he/she will have one year from the date of hire, to acquire the units. Credential (or Permit): Children's Center Teaching Permit. Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification. Valid California Driver’s license. Pre-employment Physical Examination is required.

Possess 6 units of infant/toddler coursework. Copy of valid Credential (or Permit): Children's Center Teaching Permit. 5. Two letters of recommendation (within the last 2 years) 6. Copy of a valid California Driver’s license.
